SYNOPSIS

On Muck-Up Day, a group of Year 12 students from Southbank High gather after hours for one final night of harmless chaos before graduation. But when their prank-filled evening spirals out of control and they find themselves trapped inside a classroom, tensions begin to rise between clashing personalities.

As the night unfolds, newfound romance, reckless choices, late-night laughter, and alcohol-fuelled mistakes lead to unexpected connections and honest conversations none of them saw coming. Beneath the humour and chaos, the group is forced to confront the pressures, insecurities, and hidden struggles they’ve been masking behind their school personas.

Both funny and heartfelt, the short film is a coming-of-age story about friendship, identity, and the messy uncertainty of adolescence.

DIRECTOR BIO

Chum Ehelepola is an Australian actor, filmmaker, and teacher. Ehelepola has recently starred as Dennis in the ABC TV series, The Newsreader, and is also cast as Jagadish in the streaming series Nautilus.
