SYNOPSIS

Bea and her sweetheart, Rod, attempt to escape from the quiet confines of their nursing home. It will take careful planning and sneaky distractions to reach freedom without being caught.

DIRECTOR BIO ~ Tara Carroll & Elise Stanfield, Kingston, TAS

Elise Stansfield (L) is passionate about telling local stories, with experience in various crew roles across feature films and television, including The Survivors, Bay of Fires, and FING! She also develops her own projects, having recently produced a local short film, Grievances (2025), and is re-honing her directing skills.

Tara Carroll (R) began in theatre, performing in numerous Hobart stage productions before transitioning to screen, with roles in The First Fagin and Rosehaven. After spending time in Vancouver, she discovered her passion for directing, debuting with Grievances (2025).

Uncaged marks their second directing project each, and their first collaboration as co-directors.
