SYNOPSIS

Little Jetty is a short film about a neurodivergent and
mostly non-verbal boy. His hyperfixation is whales, but
they have been migrating later and later as the climate
changes. Jack’s obsession with whales takes him on
a risky adventure to spot the first whale of the whale
watch season.

DIRECTOR’S BIO ~ Chum Ehelepola, Kalaru, NSW

Chum (he/him) has a love and passion for Directing. He is the founder of one of Australia’s most successful acting schools (Sydney Actors Collective) for professional actors, where he directs actors weekly to craft and develop amazing performers.

Chum directed the short film 4 Seasons of Love with acclaimed DOP Judd Overton (Young Rock, No Activity, Ghosts) and was shortlisted for TropFest. He directed another short film Intersecting Beauty which was shortlisted for LA Shorts and A Fairytale Immigration which premiered on Will Ferel's Funny Or Die. Chum directed the LA Short and Sweet festival play The Bomb starring Paul Elia (Ramy, Agents of Shield) which won the audience award for Best Direction. Chum is currently in pre-production to direct his feature Film Karmatastrophe with acclaimed producer of Hotel Mumbai and Monkey Man Jomon Thomas.
